My path to writing started in childhood, with a love of stories. But in a professional sense it began with an economics degree. From there it was a winding road to my dream job, one that included analyst positions, finally learning how to be a good student in graduate school, teaching, and my first paid publications in 2004 at Texas Highways magazine and The Christian Science Monitor.
